The solid foundation of Claudia’s career began 1983 when she apprenticed with Peter Green of Vidal Sassoon British Invasion fame. Peter was the owner of La Coupe Salon, NYC and Peter Green Hair Salon, White Plains, NY, and is now author of a mystery series.  With kindness and discipline, Peter is Claudia's mentor to this day.

In 2006, Claudia discovered her love for curls and pursued training at Devachan Salon in SoHo, NY.  The infectious enthusiasm of the salon’s founder Lorraine Massey drew Claudia in.  This was her artistic game-changer. She became a bit of a groupie, heading into SoHo once a month for continuing training. Attending trainings at John Sahag NYC, Toni & Guy NYC, Devachan, Curly Hair Artistry and The Original Curl-by-Curl Method™ at Spiral XYZ in TriBeCa with Lorraine Massey, Claudia intuitively customizes haircuts for her clients while educating them on all phases of curl care, taking lifestyle and emotions into consideration. This passion earned her the “Best of Westchester for Curly Hair 2015” Editors’ choice award.

Claudia has fallen in love with Vermont and is now sharing her passion for curls at the Honeycomb Beauty & Wellness Center under the business name Satya Curl. A certified yoga instructor, Claudia brings yogic philosophy to her art—Satya is Sanskrit for “truth.” She encourages her clients to embrace their own hair truth with support and guidance. “We all have our hair truths…it’s our own unique accessory that we were born with and it should be celebrated every single day!”
